I am beside myself with excitement because I have the next few days to myself. Yes, me, myself and I!  My child is on a school trip for a few days and daddy has commitments – I can hardly contain myself.  So, I am indulging in me!  And why not?

I have just finished a two-day workshop to help me write my second best-selling book.  We all need a help-in-hand sometimes and I take the help where I can get it.  I’ve just been working with the dynamic Shaa Wasmund MBE, who has sold over 100, 000 books and has 3 best sellers.  Learn from the best, right?

This is my working title, Stretch it, Tone it, Own it! Live and love an Empowered Life. As a Pilates teacher, I am not just talking about the body but also the mind, delivered to you with my usual wit and charm.  There will be clear strategies to help you step into your authentic self and live your life with passion and purpose.

It’s great to have a project, and a focus as well as an opportunity to do something that you love.  And of course, I have had time to catch up on housework, cleaning, gardening, washing, and the list goes on…  I have even repainted both the garden and front doors.  Yes I am A.K.A  Wonder Women or should I just say  A WOMAN.

They say ‘a woman’s work is never done’ .… unless you have paid help and well trained partners and children or you just don’t give a hoot! When we die, there will still be unused shampoo in the bottle and washing to be done.

For many, a hectic work schedule, combined with trying to balance other areas of your life, may lead to you feeling like you are spinning too many plates in the air at once, like a crazed clown.  With kids, family, work, chores, and the many responsibilities that we have to fulfil, it sometimes can feel like there never seems to be enough time to think, let alone satisfy our own needs and desires.   Creating some “me time” is the key.  Even if that “me time” is about doing nothing, or maybe watching trash tv or watching the birds in the sky.  That is equally ok if that’s your need at that time.

Why did I spend two days in a workshop to help write my solo best seller as opposed to a collaborative book as I did before? It is simply about having a vision and indulging in doing what I love by following these tips:

  1. Utilise My Time Better
  2. Make A Date With My self (And Keep It!)
  3. Treat Myself.

I was in great company at a fabulous location and learned loads of golden nuggets.  I even went shopping afterwards and bought a couple of small treats.

Sometimes a girl’s gotta to do what a girl’s gotta do!
